• A Win & Much Further To Go: Boston Pride outlast Montreal Force at Black History Month Game

    It was a good win against a good team. What deserves equal, if not more sustained attention, is the commemoration of Black History Month and the further work for full inclusion in hockey that must be done.

    Fans can’t watch what they can’t find, nor can new fans grow to love this game. Which is a shame, because this is a great game in a deep league. While Boston is at top of the Premier Hockey Federation standings and Montreal is in fifth, the game was very well matched.

    On a night when the defense was slim, with only four defensive players dressed for the game, the Boston Pride still won big, defended well, and goalkeeper Corrine Schroeder maintained a shutout, deflecting 50 shots.
