Tomorrow the PHF post season begins! The Boston Pride face the Minnesota Whitecaps in the first game of a best of three semi-final series. The game will be played in the fine city of Waltham at the new and state-of-the-art Bentley Arena. The Whitecaps have been on a long losing streak, but their injured star goalie is back and they are probably really hungry for a win. Their 0-4 record against the Pride suggests that win will be hard to get, but expect them to come out strong. The Pride is coming off of a split series against the second ranked Toronto Six. They lost the second game in that series despite a really intense effort to stage a comeback, so they will also probably be looking to get back to their winning ways. Neither team will be in the mood to rest on their laurels, so expect some exciting action!

Pride players to watch:
Loren Gabel had a 20 goal season and some of the most fun cellys. Look for her to score at least once in every game if her general tendencies hold.
Corinne Schroeder tied the record for total shutouts in a season in her rookie year. She rested in the last season game, so look for her to come out looking to get the record for shutouts in the playoffs too.
Whitecap players to watch:
Natalie Snodgrass is also having a pretty great year and has had 3 game winning goals. Look for her to be the clutch player that the Whitecaps will lean on to close things out.
Goalie Amanda Leveille has also been having a great year, and is second place in saves percentage behind Corinne Schroeder which means she is very very good. It should be noted she is just back from injury, but looked good in Minnisota’s final game vs. Connecticut. This could end up being the battle of the goaltenders.
